Its a smallmouth
We did get some much needed rain this week, but not enough to affect the river. It remains low and clear. Still catching bows and bass. Most days we get 1 large and 1 smallie, a type of sucker and plenty of rainbows. Today as a plus we did catch a cute little brown. Olive wolly was hot in the front and hopper dropper in the back with y2k dropper. On those bright sunny days hoppers work great with a y2k or nymph dropper. Cold snap
This cold snap will get the big fish moving. And dang, it was in the 30s here this morning. Caught a few on olive, but ended up with y2k catching the most. Was a really nice morning, then the wind picked up and that was not fun..    Looks like special regulations on all the rivers except for Spring River. This river has not been stocked below dam 3 since the flood. Really hoping they stock soon. I have been here over 20 years and never experienced what we are going through th

Got some rain!!
It rained hard for a bit on Saturday evening into the night. Less than 2 inches here. River was stained a bit this morning making for tougher fishing. A y2k on bottom did the trick. Just a half day today and damg it was cold out this morning.  No hopper eats today. River remains very low with more rain needed.    Since they haven't stocked since April the public areas can be tough. I'm hoping a cold spell will get the big fish moving. Needs to be cold for about a week. Today
