Hot!
Hot fishing early in the day, hot temps by noon. We chased smallies all morning and had a blast with hopper droppers. Hooked up with one big large mouth too. I gotta say im getting hooked on these smallies. And so are the clients!

Dry, dry, dry
Dang it has been dry all of 2026 here. The river is below 300 cfs with 350 average flow. Way to hot for low water. Not good at all on trout. I hope we get more rain soon! They are stocking really nice rainbows in the river, fun, fun! I hope a few make it to grow big, trout that size can grow quick on the Spring River. So much bait in the Spring the trout have plenty to eat. Been a lot of pressure with the low water conditions making it easier to catch them and for the ani

Low...
No rain and low river conditions, nothing new there. Hopper droppers were hot today! Lots of nice smallies, all safely caught and released! Had the river all to ourselves, a blessed day!

Catching
Had a little rain on wed night, 290 cfs, did great today. Caught a really nice smallie right in front of Cedar Valley Resort. Floated from there to Many Islands on Tuesday and had a blast catching everything, panfish, rock bass, smallies and trout. Fun, fun ,fun! River looks good. Last 2 days been from dam 3 to Cedar Valley and the catching has been fun! Ji Hinkle is foing a great job of stocking really nice fish. A busy weekend can clean a stretch out quick, but that's why

No rain
River is low and clear, had an easy morning with black woollies, should of saw the one that got away! Plenty of heavy rain all around us but not where it counts. The local storms have been dropping heavy rainfall but have been hit or miss, and mostly miss in our area.

Looks great!
Its back to low and clear. Little bit cloudy just the way we like it. Jim Hinkle is stocking really nice rainbows every 2 weeks. They are a lot of fun and honestly they are big for stockers. Olive woollies and y2ks work great for catching them. They are not an unlimited resource so leave some for the next person. We catch and release so others can enjoy the fight of these wonderful trout. Im telling ya the trout out of Jim Hinkle are some of the best fighting fish of all time

Still low
Well we did get a bunch of rain last few weeks. River got stirred up and poor clarity for a bit, but remains low. Its about to get hot too. So fish early and take a siesta after lunch. The trout dont like the heat either... In other news Sissy has meet a wonderful young man named Dipper. She really liked him. In about 2 plus months we should have a litter of world champion squirrel dogs.

Little murky
River looks good, it has remained low but it does have a murky look to it. Did not matter this week so far. Wore them out on olive woollies and y2ks, it does slow in afternoon when it starts warming up. A y2k with pink worm dropper kept it going. We do have another system moving thru overnight into Friday morning. I plan on being on the water in the morning so stay tuned. Not too much
Storms moved thru the area overnight producing heavy rainfal in areas. It looks like not too much north of us. The river gage has not jumped and remains steady. River is murky today but should clear up quickly. River levels are running at avg flow, 360 cfs.

Murky
River is dropped out and looking good, just little murky. We are under a flood watch as i write this. The forecast for this area over the last few months have been terrible! Forecast rain all weekend this weekend snd we have had not a drop. Looks like we will get some rain overnight so stay tuned. Best flies last week were olive woollies and black leeches. We did have one day a y2k with a dropper did the trick. I am booked for a smallie trip tomorrow. Excited to run that s

Finally!
Well we had over an 1 1/2 of rain fall over the weekend, the river did rise on Sunday and calm down by Monday afternoon to a solid brown clarity. Water levels have come up to 380 cfs, making it much easier getting down the river today. Had a full day today and we did catch a bunch of fish. Had to be a black leech, only thing they wanted and not a black woolly. But wow did we have a blast! River was beginning to turn from brown to green thru the day.

Got rain!
It rained about an 1 1/2 inches last night and on Saturday. The warm fork was muddy this morning making the river brown. Water levels are up to 360 cfs, about average flow normally. River should clear up in few days. Video was at 7am, river got muddier by noon.

Its good!
So far so good, we have had a lot of rain north of us, but it has not hurt river conditions. The river has come up to 310cfs, 350 avg, and water clarity is mostly clear. Jim Hinkle is stocking really nice fish in the river and if ya see them make sure to say Thank You! Not seeing many smallies lately, but we have been chasing rainbows. Olive woolly has been the bigger fish fly, but on those tough bright sun days, get a Y2k or pink worm down deep below a hopper or indicator. I

Still need rain
It has been all around us and we have had enough rain north of us to bring river levels up a little bit, still need more rain. Last few days river remains clear but has had vegetation floating down from rain north of us. Olive woollies have been the fly so far this week! Check our youtube for the latest fish catching videos!!

Low and clear
We still need rain. Water flow is at about 290 cfs, 350 is avg. Plenty of bows in the river this week. Havnt caught many smallies but they are there. Been a hopper dropper week. Pink worm and y2k has been hot, with one day woollies were the hot ticket. Im getting booked up, got few opens still in July, wide open after first week of August. It's gets hot we will start doing half days and starting early, but not too bad this week with the cloudy days.

Low and clear!
We got a touch of rain, just enough to stir the water up Friday and Saturday, both tough days for catching with a little rise in the river and plenty of vegetation. It was back to low and clear today, water flow is at 300 cfs and water clarity was great. We still need rain. It just keeps missing the area. Hopper droppers with y2k and pink worm droppers got us the bigger fish today. We had a blast!
