Ok we got about a half inch of rain and it got soaked right up in the ground. River remains low and clear. Had a great morning but did use the y2k for an easy bite. Fun beautiful morning. Feeling very blessed, but could use more rain.

Got a touch of rain. It will hopefully settle the dust.... Finally got spray foam in my shop to finish insulating it. Gonna go over floors then shop will be done for most part. Wanting to start on a couple of airbnbs on the property next year. Been working on this for a long time.

When im not guiding for fish I'mchasing squirrels with my main girl, Sissy. Got 3 pups I'm training up now. Practicing guiding for squirrels if ya have good woods loaded with squirrels we got the answer!

No trouble floating in a raft and Jim Hinkle is stocking really nice trout. Problem is low and clear conditions makes it hard for the trout to survive.... Hopper droppers and nymphs are doing great.

Still kinda warm out, the river was very refreshing today. Bite was tough but kept changing flies to keep catching. Beautiful day, ready for cooler weather and maybe a whole lotta rain. We plum dry!!!!

Its been raining all night. Strong slow rain. Doubt it gets river up any but really needed this! Catching plenty on our trips, posted 3 YouTube videos last few days. Everybody is having fun! The puppies are a mess. The wanna run free!

Sissy and I were out chasing squirrels early this morning. I spent an hour this morning picking ticks off my legs, dang sea ticks. The tick population is doing fantastic this year, be safe out there. I have had tick fever once this year so far, and thats some rough stuff. They make a pill for a dog that works great for keeping off the ticks... trust me it dont work on humans. Makes ya chase cars....

Next several days show hot and sunny. Dang no joke! We need rain really bad. I have been fishing early then stopping at lunch. Bite is fantastic early in the day. Hopper dropper is the hot setup this year! And yes they hit the hopper! This video shows how low river is getting. Been like that all year honestly. Need rain...

The puppies have opened their eyes! Sissy is doing a great job of raising them! And she still hunts every chance she gets. Once the heat breaks we will be chasing squirrels!

Jim Hinkle is stovking some really nice rainbows lately. With the super low snd clear river conditions we have bern sight fishing for them! Hopper dropper still super hot! And YES they hit the hopper! They hit it hard!!! Im posting a lot of youtube videos, check them out!!

Had some crazy hopper hits today, but hot fly and nice smallie on the 'pink worm'. River is crazy low. Need rain....

Big shout out to Cedar Valley Resort for letting us use their access this year. Its where most of my smallie trips start and a great float from dam 3 to there for trout and smallies.

I have been busy with my girl Sissy this week. She had puppies on Thursday. Beautiful colors. The river remains dry and clear. Looks like some more heat next week. Fall is just around the corner. I am booked up for September and October, wide open mostly for November and December, get on my books no deposit just gotta lock in the date. Really looking forward to cool temps!

Ok its been like this for awhile, river is very low and clear, not good in this heat. We are fishing early and done by lunch. Just got back from an awesome trip with the best people in the world, from fishing high mountain lakes, to a special night on a mountain top, with horses, a wonderful opera singer, and a great meal and some of the best memories we can never forget! Hot fishing early in the day, hot temps by noon. We chased smallies all morning and had a blast with hopper droppers. Hooked up with one big large mouth too. I gotta say im getting hooked on these smallies. And so are the clients!
