River looks good

No rain today! Thats a good thing. The river is looking good. Still got a heavy green stain, just the way I like it.

Had a great morning teaching the younger generation how to fly fish. So thankful to everyone with Arkansas Game and Fish for hosting fishing fridays at the hatchery. A lot of fun and always exciting to see soneone hook up with their first trout on a fly rod.

Over the last few weeks a lot of browns and cutthroat have been stocked. About 7500 cutthroat trout about 6 inches in length were stocked. I bet we can get some dry fly action now... beautiful little fish. A brown trout and cutthroat trout are required to be at least 16 inches to keep. So let the little fellers go and get bigger.... please...

Ok Mark. You’ve convinced me... I have a beautiful Sage that I’ve never touched. Brand new. Time to change that. The Spring River has become my second home over the past few years, and it’s time I became more than just a bass angler that loves to catch trout! Is FlyFish Friday’s all ages or just for the kiddos?? Cheers, Jen Kravassi
